Memebox Boxing Day Special #2!

Here is the box I've been waiting for for so long! This was my very first Memebox I ever purchased and it was all purchased with my own money. If you aren't familiar with Memebox, it is a monthly subscription like system except you are not required to have a monthly subscription with them. You go on their website and if you feel like buying a box that has not been sold out, you may purchase it and they will ship it to you. This is a South-Korean based beauty website, and if you don't already know, their beauty and skin care is much more advanced than North American/European beauty products. When purchasing it on the website, I read that it would contain 10 deluxe minis and 1 full size products. The box shipped on the 30th of December (2014) and it arrived this morning; January 13th 2015 (can't believe this took a year! haha just kidding!). It came in a pink bubble wrap type of bag and inside the very famous pink memebox was in, and it was quite heavy for deluxe samples!

NYC Expert Last Lip Color : First Impression and Review

The NYC Expert Last Lip Color is another in many lines of lip product of this drugstore makeup company.
The lipstick retails for 1.99$ and it is said there is a very easy application of the color and it stays up for up to 6 hours. It started being available as of January 2014 in many drugstores.

I tried out the Traffic Jam color and I was very impressed by the loyalty of the color to the packaging. A lot of lipsticks will show a color and be another color during application; but not this one. I was also very impressed by the velvety consistency. However, I didn't see it being long lasting, it was shorter than 6 hours, that I can say.                                                   On picture : Traffic Jam

There are a total of 20 shades available: Red Flame, Air Kiss, Blue Rose, Snowcone, Brandy Sparkle, Flirty, Sugar Plum, Red Rapture, Peach Fizz, Modern Love, Candy Rush, Love My Latte, Creamy Caramel, Traffic Jam, Berry Me, Purple Crush, Chocolate Chip, Coralista, Smooch, Forever Fuschia. These colors range from a nude to a very dark red to a chocolate colored lipstick.

Pros:
- Beautiful Packaging
- Color is true
- Many different shades
- Price
- Smooth Application
- Not as long lasting - but stays for a decent amount of time before reapplication

Cons:
- Bleeds easily, very messy if you're not careful
- Not as long lasting as 6 hours.

Overall Rating : 8/10

NYC Skin Matching Luminizer : First Impression and Review!

The NYC Skin Matching Luminizer is a foundation that can be found in many drugstore and it retails for 4.99$ on the NYC website (prices may vary depending on the location of the purchase.) It is said that this foundation used the "power of light" in order to match the user's skin tone. Available in drugstores as of January 2014.

There are six (6) shades available for this foundation : Fair to Light, Light, Light to Medium, Medium to Deep, Medium to Dark, Tawny Medium.

When I first used it (I tested the Light to Medium shade) and didn't know about the skin-matching "effect" it had, I was a bit worried since it gave me a much more pink tone, but after a few seconds, I found it to completely match my skin!

Pros:
- Matches your skin
- Heavy coverage
- Not a squeeze-tube, not a open-the-lid-and-put-it-everywhere kind of foundation, but a very efficient pump packaging! Very easy to use.
- Longlasting
- Price
- Easily Blendable

Cons:
- Although there is the skin-matching effect, I believe there could be a bit more shades.

Review: Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear

Colors from left to right: Deep Purple, Twisted Pink, Golden-I, Pink Satin, Yellow Mellow

The Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear has a collection of over 40 different shades to chose from, the variety of colors is very good. The long-wear of this polish is very good as well, however, the drying time is waaaay too long! While waiting for it to dry, it might smudge many many times. What's more, some of these polishes require 2 coats or more to be opaque enough. All in all, this polish has many advantages, the only bad side is the long drying time.

OVERALL RATING: 7/10

Review: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri

Color from left to right: Wined Up,  Presto Pink, Lively Lilac

The Sally Hansen Insta-dri collection is probably one of my all time favorite collection. The drying time is LESS THAN A MINUTE and you are ready to go with 1 single coat! I would recommend this to everybody from a beginner to a pro nail polish user because you will fall in love after 1 try, like I did! They are very budget-friendly and there is a variety of 32 different shades and 4 discontinued shades (although there are available colors that are quite similar.)

Overall Rating : 9.5/10

Review: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure

Color : All Fired Up (Complete Salon Manicure)

The Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure collection, even though it is on the more pricey side (for a Sally Hansen nail polish), is a very satisfying product. No need to use a base coat and a top coat because there is all of it in the same bottle. All of the benefits of the polish are : Base Coat, Strengthener  Growth Treatment, Color, Top Coat, Chip-Resistant, Gel Shine. All of these are visible once you use the polish for a while, however, the polish was chiping a bit after a very short period of time after its application. The Collection includes a variety of 49 beautiful shades! I would definitely buy more when I get the chance!

Review : NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder

The NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder is a very great powder. When I first used it, I wasn't very fond of it, but as the time passed, I learned to love it a lot more. For the cheap price (2.99$*), you get a huge amount of product. It gives your face the flawless finish and it makes it a lot smoother. I was never really a fan of loose powdered makeup because of the mess it makes, but beside that, I had a lot of reason to like this product. It's translucent (only change it comes with) so it doesn't give you any color. It might turn out like it's a white powder at first, but it fades and when you touch your first afterward, it is as smooth as a baby's butt!
