NYC Expert Last Lip Color : First Impression and Review

The NYC Expert Last Lip Color is another in many lines of lip product of this drugstore makeup company.
The lipstick retails for 1.99$ and it is said there is a very easy application of the color and it stays up for up to 6 hours. It started being available as of January 2014 in many drugstores.

I tried out the Traffic Jam color and I was very impressed by the loyalty of the color to the packaging. A lot of lipsticks will show a color and be another color during application; but not this one. I was also very impressed by the velvety consistency. However, I didn't see it being long lasting, it was shorter than 6 hours, that I can say.                                                   On picture : Traffic Jam

There are a total of 20 shades available: Red Flame, Air Kiss, Blue Rose, Snowcone, Brandy Sparkle, Flirty, Sugar Plum, Red Rapture, Peach Fizz, Modern Love, Candy Rush, Love My Latte, Creamy Caramel, Traffic Jam, Berry Me, Purple Crush, Chocolate Chip, Coralista, Smooch, Forever Fuschia. These colors range from a nude to a very dark red to a chocolate colored lipstick.

Pros:
- Beautiful Packaging
- Color is true
- Many different shades
- Price
- Smooth Application
- Not as long lasting - but stays for a decent amount of time before reapplication

Cons:
- Bleeds easily, very messy if you're not careful
- Not as long lasting as 6 hours.

NYC Skin Matching Luminizer : First Impression and Review!

The NYC Skin Matching Luminizer is a foundation that can be found in many drugstore and it retails for 4.99$ on the NYC website (prices may vary depending on the location of the purchase.) It is said that this foundation used the "power of light" in order to match the user's skin tone. Available in drugstores as of January 2014.

There are six (6) shades available for this foundation : Fair to Light, Light, Light to Medium, Medium to Deep, Medium to Dark, Tawny Medium.

When I first used it (I tested the Light to Medium shade) and didn't know about the skin-matching "effect" it had, I was a bit worried since it gave me a much more pink tone, but after a few seconds, I found it to completely match my skin!

Pros:
- Matches your skin
- Heavy coverage
- Not a squeeze-tube, not a open-the-lid-and-put-it-everywhere kind of foundation, but a very efficient pump packaging! Very easy to use.
- Longlasting
- Price
- Easily Blendable

Cons:
- Although there is the skin-matching effect, I believe there could be a bit more shades.

Review : NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder

The NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder is a very great powder. When I first used it, I wasn't very fond of it, but as the time passed, I learned to love it a lot more. For the cheap price (2.99$*), you get a huge amount of product. It gives your face the flawless finish and it makes it a lot smoother. I was never really a fan of loose powdered makeup because of the mess it makes, but beside that, I had a lot of reason to like this product. It's translucent (only change it comes with) so it doesn't give you any color. It might turn out like it's a white powder at first, but it fades and when you touch your first afterward, it is as smooth as a baby's butt!

Review : NYC SMOOTH SKIN PERFECTING PRIMER

The NYC Smooth Skin Perfecting primer is a very favorite of mine. Not only is it greatly priced (3.99$), it also gives many great features to the skin. Filled with Vitamin E, it makes the skin smoother and moisturizes it. It also minimizes the appearance of pores. It's long lasting and helps your makeup stay on a lot longer. It has a shimmer to it, so it gives a natural looking-like glow to your face and you can even use it as a highlighter on the high points of your face. What I didn't like about it was the smell, but then again, very few makeup products have good smells. I would recommend this, especially if you are a beginner in the field of makeup or if you do not want to break your wallet's heart.

Review : NYC Showtime Volumizing Waterproof Mascara

This mascara is probably located at the few last on my mascara list, I didn't like it at all! The only great thing about it is that it's waterproof. The NYC Showtime Volumizing Waterproof Mascara retails for 3.99$ with the option of buying a similar one that is not waterproof (however, I have not tried that one out). The application of the mascara doesn't seem to do anything to the lashes, except maybe get them a little darker. It gets super messy and EXTREMELY clumpy! By the time you're done, you'll probably want to wash it off because it does not look good at all, not matter the natural length of your lashes. I do not recommend this product.

Review : NYC CITY CURLS CURLING MASCARA

If you're looking for a mascara that could curl your lashes without clumping them together and giving you those spider legs lashes, then the NYC City Curls Curling Mascara would be the perfect thing for you. I simply loved the pretty curls it gave my lashes, it seriously brightened my eyes to see them so well curled. With the curved brush and the cheap price you pay for this mascara (2.99$), you will not be disappointed with it. Highly recommended. What's more, it's very comfortable to hold it and apply it to every single one of your lashes. I can't say it will give your lashes volume or length though, it only does what is written on the package, curls the lashes.

Review : NYC Sky Rise Lengthening Mascara

I really wasn't sure about this mascara at first! For the price of 1.99$, what could you possibly get? When I applied it, the first coat was enough to make me fall in love! The NYC Sky Rise Lengthening Mascara does exactly what is says : it lengthens your lashes (60% to be more precise). For the very cheap price it's offered at, it's more than enough length! Applying 2 coats will be enough to make your lashes long enough. What's more it does not clump! Having naturally long and voluminous lashes myself, I asked a friend to try it out too and it worked just as well on her naturally small lashes as it did on mine. This is a great deal that I would buy again! The packaging is very well made, it's not uncomfortable to hold and it gets to all of your lashes, every single one of them.

Review : SUN'N'BRONZE BRONZING POWDER

I've seen bronzers, and I have used bronzers but let me tell you that I was not very impressed with this bronzer. The NYC Sun'n'bronze bronzing powder did not please me much, in my opinion, it worked better as a highlighter and a blush, I only saw a little bit of change concerning the darkening of my skin, after applying this bronzer. However, perhaps the shade I had used was too pale for my skin tone (even though I have a fair skin tone). On the other hand, the packaging and the design of the bronzer was very pretty and attracting. This bronzer comes with 3 different colors in it, a highlighter, a blush and a bronzing color. There is 4 different shades and they are sold for the price of 4.99$.

Bronzer on pictures: Hampton's Radiance

PROS:
-Great packaging
-Can work off as a highlighter and a subtle blush (if you get a shade lighter than your skintone)

CONS:

-Be sure to pickup the right shade of bronzer or else you won't find much use in it.

Review : NYC Individual Eye Custom Compact

With 10 different palettes, these are priced at 4.99$ each. Personally, this was MY very first palette and I can say that I was very pleased with it. -Labels to help you with your makeup look
-Primer is VERY good!
-Highlighter can be used in many different ways (Brow Bone, Inner tear duct, High Points of the face)
-Small and convenient for travelling
-Pigmented enough (could be a little better however -- nothing we can't fix with primer though)
-Great packaging, can see the colors without having to open the palette and search
-Great price for everything you get

CONS:
-Although there is 10 different palettes, the colors are very limited.
-Like I mentioned earlier, the pigmentation could be a little better.
